To be an engaging educator you have to be creative.

You might not see yourself as an educator. But you definitely are if you are:

  • passionate about sharing your knowledge or experience through any online or offline channel.
  • a born or learned communicator.
  • adding value to others by exposing them to information and new perspectives.

So, to be clear, not all educators have an education degree and not all educators (with or without a degree) are teachers inside a formal classroom setting. Education is much broader than what happens in any type of school or homeschooling environment. Education is (or should be) an ongoing life experience.

As educational environments and the scope of education evolve, educational creatives are there to pioneer these changes.

An educational creative thrives asking questions like these:

  • How can I make education better?
  • Is there a way I can reach more communities and more students across the globe?
  • How can innovations make education a more fulfilling experience for both students and teachers?
  • Is there a way I can help disrupt the system for good?

Educational creatives impact education at all its levels. They might work in collaboration with governments to improve local systems, enhance classroom dynamics or train teachers and students.

Educational creatives are interested in getting involve or developing new technology. They start programs that facilitate educational experiences in regions where access to education is limited or still non-existent.

Educational creatives work with creative or traditional industries to create new opportunities for professional training and career development.

As educational creatives, our purpose should be to:

  • Create
  • Reinvent
  • Innovate

Now, more than ever, creatives should look toward education as a field of opportunity. Online education, learning apps, and other digital technologies have not reached their full potential, and neither have we. There’re still many students for which education is a constant struggle or far-fetch dream. The educational creative is the one looking at these global education obstacles as challenges worth taking.
